Christmas is rapidly approaching, and if you have a D&D player on your list this year, it’s not too late to get them something that conveys affection and helps them pimp out their D&D game a bit. Here’s a few suggestions:
Spell Cards
One of the most awkward things about playing a spellcaster is continually flipping through a book to find the description of a spell. Keep your spells handy without needing the book all the time with these handy cards.
Boxed Starter Sets
Boxed sets can be a great way to introduce new players to the game, and they are especially great for new DMs, since they don’t require anyone to own any of the standard reference books (Player’s Handbook, Dungeon Master’s Guide, Monster Manual), and are entirely self contained.
Dice Accessories
I would love to post dice here, but there’s about ten thousand different dice available these days, and a lot of them look amazing. There’s simply too much.
However, while there are a ton of dice trays and other accessories, a few stand out among the crowd. Here’s a few special ones:
That’ll do for now. Of course there’s all kinds of swag that we could look at, but I think most people can find something here for a D&D player on their shopping list. Of course, by now there’s no guarantees that the product will show up in time for Christmas, but if you haven’t already got something, well, late might be better than never.
And let’s not assume that the only time to give gifts is Christmas Day!
Of course, the best thing about D&D isn’t the cool toys that we use to play the game, it’s the game experience itself. Have fun this holiday season, and may all your games be merry and bright!
